AUGUSTA (WJBF) – The HUB for Community Innovation in Augusta has found a new way to make sure those living in the underserved parts of Augusta are getting the resources they need after Helene.
Volunteers there have been collecting essential items to give to residents.
Some of those items include fresh produce provided by Augusta Locally Grown, household essentials, water, clothing, and baby supplies– And even health and wellness checks.
This is all thanks to partners like the American Red Cross, Harrisburg Family Health Care and the Salvation Army.
People are welcome to come to the HUB if they’re within walking-distance to get items they need. But organization leaders do encourage more people to volunteer for the distribution if possible.
